UR Light

The Light Center is a geodesic dome set on 165 acres in the peaceful and quiet mountains of western North Carolina. The domed prayer room upstairs is dedicated to prayer and meditation. A light chamber downstairs features a full spectrum of colored lights and music conducive to deep meditation and inner transformation.

The Healing Labyrinth at the Light Center is in the classical seven circuit design. It is configured in seven concentric circles that harmonize with the seven steps of Effective Prayer and sacred geometry. What is a Labyrinth? It is a tool that enables us to be still – to focus within. Many labyrinths can be found in cathedrals all over Europe and have been used by people for hundreds of years as a means of meditation and to experience the Divine within. The labyrinth is an archetype for transformation – deepening our self-knowledge and empowering our creativity. The labyrinth serves as a bridge from the mundane to the divine and provides opportunities for all to:

· Experience a prayer walk – the path to healing
· Relax and feel at peace
· Pray for Planet Earth
· Heal relationships
· Express thanksgiving to God

The United Research Light Center provides a non-denominational environment to encourage personal and planetary transformation through prayer. The Light Center is dedicated to helping you expand awareness of your inner light and to pray more effectively. We offer instruction in the use of Effective Prayer to help eliminate blocks to the expression of the true spiritual nature residing within mankind. Increased awareness of the Light within you increases your ability to help yourself and others. The Effective Prayer

  1. I release all of my past, negatives, fears, human relationships, self-image, future, and human desires to the Light.
  2. I am a Being of Light.
  3. I radiate the Light from my Light Center throughout my being.
  4. I radiate the Light from my Light Center to everyone.
  5. I radiate the Light from my Light Center to everything.
  6. I am in a bubble of Light and only the Light can come to me and only the Light can be here.
  7. Thank you God for everyone, for everything, and for me.

The Effective Prayer will change your life. Use the prayer upon rising and before going to bed for 15 minutes each time. You are encouraged to use this prayer within the structure of your own beliefs, to promote peace and unity among all people.
